Privacy policy
This privacy policy describes how Mindeze (“Mindeze,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit this website, download or use our mobile applications, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy and our Terms & conditions.
Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at webcontact@mindeze.com or through our contact form.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile information. Information you provide when creating or maintaining an account, such as email address, name or display name, role (for example adult child or parent), and authentication identifiers.
- Family coordination data. Content you create in the app, including tasks, schedules, reminders, acknowledgements, notes, voice recordings if you choose to attach them, and similar operational data needed to provide coordination features.
- Device and technical data. Device type, operating system version, app version, diagnostic logs, crash reports, IP address, and timestamps. We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services. Crash reports and related diagnostics are processed on our behalf by Google through Firebase Crashlytics; reports include the crash stack trace, your numeric user identifier (so we can correlate a report with your account if you contact support), the app route you were on, and basic device context. They do not include the contents of your tasks, voice recordings, or messages.
- Communications. Messages you send us (for example support email or contact form submissions), including metadata such as time sent.
- Payment-related identifiers. Purchases of subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive transaction identifiers and subscription status from those platforms as needed to validate entitlements; we do not receive your full payment card number.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including synchronization, notifications, and security features;
- Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms;
- Communicate with you about the Services, including service-related notices and responses to support requests;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;
- Analyze usage in aggregate or de-identified form to understand product performance.
Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)
Where required by law, we rely on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract with you, legitimate interests that are not overridden by your rights (such as securing our Services), consent where we ask for it, and compliance with legal obligations.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us with hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics, crash reporting (Google Firebase Crashlytics), customer support tools, and similar functions, subject to confidentiality and processing terms;
- Linked family members as necessary to deliver coordination features you initiate within the app;
- Platform providers such as Apple and Google for in-app purchases and device notifications;
- Authorities when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and how it is used.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your devices.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us at the email above. We may need to verify your request before responding.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Mindeze account and deletion of personal information associated with it. Apple App Store and Google Play require that apps supporting account creation provide a way for users to initiate account deletion; the following describes how to request deletion from Mindeze.
How to request account deletion
- Email. Send a message to webcontact@mindeze.com from the email address on your Mindeze account (or include enough detail for us to verify your identity). Use the subject line “Account deletion.”
- Website contact form. From this site, use the contact form on the home page and clearly state that you want your Mindeze account deleted; include the email address registered on your account.
We will verify your request consistent with applicable law and complete deletion or anonymization of personal information associated with your account within a reasonable period (typically within thirty (30) days), except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Linked accounts and family coordination. Deleting your account may affect linked adult-child/parent relationships and coordination features for your household. Another member’s account may remain active; we process linked data according to your role and technical constraints when fulfilling deletion.
Subscriptions. Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple or Google. Deleting your Mindeze account does not automatically cancel an active subscription-manage or cancel renewal in your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions as needed. Conversely, cancelling a subscription through the store does not by itself delete your Mindeze account; submit an account deletion request using the options above if you want your account and associated data removed.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent. If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International users
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
U.S. state privacy notices
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws (for example the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain processing). To submit a request, email webcontact@mindeze.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights granted by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice or email) where appropriate.
